Bambi/YuGiOh crossover preview

[…Bambi was running through a seemly endless thicket of fog as his eyes searched from direction to another.  He then slowed to a halt, panting.  Throughout his wanderings in this misty environment, Bambi kept hearing many voices that seemed to echo everywhere around.  The young fawn then abruptly turned to one direction in to one of these soft murmurs.]
BAMBI: Hello?  …Mother…Mother is that you?
[Five seconds of silence passed.]
DEEP VOICE: Your mother is not here, Bambi.  For what you are seeing is part of your dreams.
[Bambi gasped upon hearing the deep voice as its loud volume made the ground beneath him tremble.  He once again gasped as he witnessed the shadow of a gargantuan hulk, which penetrated the white aura of the fog, slowly approaching him.]
DEEP VOICE: Fear not, young Prince.  For I come to you in peace.
[Bambi felt his fear instantly vanish upon hearing those words.  Then within an instant, the approaching hulk fully materialized to appear in the form of a large, blue humanoid, whose body was muscularly robust, spikes on his shoulders, crown of four horns sprouting from the sides of his head, large wings, and red eyes.  The giant eventually stopped two feet from Bambi, who looked up in amazement.  The giant humanoid was immense in height compared to Bambi, who only reached up to the former's knee.]
BAMBI: W-who are you?
[The blue giant lowered himself into a kneeling position and gazed at Bambi with his red eyes while expressing a calm facial expression.]
OBELISK: My name is Obelisk the Tormentor and I have come to help comfort you over the tragedy that has befallen you this night.
[Obelisk's current facial expressions then shifted into a more sympathetic one.]
OBELISK: I am deeply sorry for the loss of your mother, Bambi.  For no child deserves to be eternally separated from their mother like that.  Yet, it will also be hard for you to endure the immense sadness of that tragedy, which is why I'm here, Bambi: for I want to help you bear the weight of sadness so you won't have to do it alone.
[Though amazed with what Obelisk told him, Bambi never the less came forward and momentarily nuzzled his head against the blue giant's left leg.]
BAMBI: Thank you, Obelisk.
OBELISK: Of course, Bambi.  But there is another reason I'm here: to help you know more about your father.
[Bambi responsively shifted his gaze at Obelisk.]
BAMBI: My father?
OBELISK: Yes.  For I personally knew your father since the time we was a fawn.  Starting tomorrow, I can tell all that you need to know about him.
BAMBI: (nodding) Alright.
[Obelisk then stood up while maintaining his soft gaze at Bambi below him.]
OBELISK: Excellent.  Now there are two more things that you should know, Bambi, that involve your best friends Thumper and Flower.
[Bambi gave a small gasp of amazement.]
BAMBI: Thumber…Flower?
OBELISK: Indeed, Bambi.  Behold.
[The blue deity raised and extended his right arm out, which beckoned Bambi to focus in the same direction.  They then witnessed some of the white fog were gathering and swirling until it fully materialized into the translucent form of a red, elongated dragon with wings, two mouths, and yellow eyes.]
OBELISK: Tomorrow we will meet two very important entities.  One of them, who you see before you, is known as Slifer the Sky Dragon and he will be accompanying your friend Thumper.
[Obelisk then dispersed Slifer's image into mist again as it swirled around again until it materialized into a different form: a translucent image of a brilliant golden dragon with metallic feathery wings, a snout similar to a bird's beak with additional teeth, and red eyes like Obelisk's.]
OBELISK: The other one is known as the Winged Dragon of Ra and he will be accompanying your other friend, Flower.
[Obelisk then summoned the translucent image of Slifer again as it materialized next to the Wing Dragon of Ra's.]
OBELISK: You do not need to fear either of them for I promise that they won't hurt you, Bambi.  (smiles) In fact, they'll be most joyous at meeting you tomorrow.
BAMBI: How do you know that?
OBELISK: Trust me, Bambi, I've mutually known and trusted them for a really long time.
BAMBI: So why are they here?
OBELISK: Because they also want to help you as much as I do, Bambi.  Now I know that you have many questions you wish to ask me…
[Obelisk dissipated Slifer and Ra's images back into mist as he continued speaking calmly to Bambi.]
OBELISK: …and I'd be more than delighted to answer them.
[Obelisk then knelt back down to close to Bambi, his face expressing sympathy.]
OBELISK: However, there is little time to answer them here, for the dawn is approaching soon.   But I promise that more of this matter will be explained over time, starting tomorrow.  Now, when you awake in the morning, you will find me outside of the den the moment you rush outside.  Understood, Bambi?
[Bambi simply nodded his head in response.]
OBELISK: Good.
[Obelisk then stood back up.]
OBELISK: I shall see you in the morning then.  Farewell, Bambi.
[They were suddenly enveloped in an immense flash of light.]
