Diamond and the Retac
[Location: an outdoor stadium within Warfang. Time: Night]
[Inside the stadium, all the many dragons, moles, and other residents of Warfang, including Spyro and his mate Cynder, were all sitting within the audience area while the Guardians were seated in special booths near the back end. Instantly, all the lights within the stadium began to dim.]
SPYRO: (whispers) Wow, it's starting, Cyn.
CYNDER: (whispers) Indeed, my love.
[By now, all lights within the stadium had become blackened until two beams of light, the spot lights, projected down onto the surface of the stadium ring. As the announcer sequentially spoke, each of the spotlights positioned themselves on doorways opposite of each other within the ring.]
ANNOUNCER: And now, ladies and gentlemen, Guardians of the Dragon Race, and honored guests…prepare yourself for a program of phenomenal proportions…presenting the dragon sweethearts, Fugeo and Diamond, as they sing "Beauty and the Beast!"
[Instantly, as the audience clapped loudly for a few seconds, some loud and soothing background music commenced. Then, out from one of the entry ways, came the beautiful ice/crystal dragoness, Diamond who while singing beautifully and sweetly, proceeded further until she stopped directly in the center of the ring.]
DIAMOND: Tale as old as time, true as it can be
Barely even friends, then somebody bends unexpectedly
[Then, as if on cue, Fugeo, Diamond's mate, steps out from the opposite entry way, progressing toward Diamond in the center as he sang strongly and passionately.]
FUGEO: Just a little change, small to say the least
Both a little scared, neither one prepared
DIAMOND, FUGEO: Beauty and the beast.
[By now, both dragon beloveds were standing side by side in the center of the ring, singing heartily with and to each other.]
DIAMOND, FUGEO: Ever just the same, ever a surprise
Ever as before, ever just as sure
As the sun will rise
FUGEO: Ooo-oo, Ooo
[Throughout the brief instrumental solo of the song, everyone experienced emotions of adoration and joy within their hearts. Even the Guardian of Ice, Cyril, found himself welling with joy at seeing how happy his daughter was with her mate, Fugeo.]
DIAMOND, FUGEO: Ever just the same
FUGEO: Ever a surprise
DIAMOND, FUGEO: Ever as before
DIAMOND: Ever just as sure
DIAMOND, FUGEO: As the sun will rise
FUGEO: Ooo, ooo, ooo
DIAMOND: Tale as old as time, tune as old as song
DIAMOND, FUGEO: Bittersweet and strange,
Finding you can change, learning you were wrong
FUGEO: Certain as the sun
DIAMOND: Certain as the sun
FUGEO: Rising in the east
DIAMOND: Tale as old as time
DIAMOND, FUGEO: Song as old as rhyme

[By this time, the dragon duet had already enwrapped each other's tails lovingly, Both slowly and gradually rotated their heads in each other's directions until their eyes locked onto each other.]
DIAMOND, FUGEO: Beauty and the…beast.
[With that both beloveds closed their eyes and engaged each other in a most deep and passionate kiss. In a few seconds, the spot lights dimmed with everyone in the audience sequentially applauding while Cyril sobbed and shed tears of utter joy. During the audience's enthusiastic applause, Sparx was snoring softly while reclining next to his purple dragon brother, for the former had already fallen asleep halfway through duet's performance.]

This is a fanfiction (aka, song-fic) I wrote as both an early birthday present and Valentines Day gift to a wonderful fanfiction author and great friend of mine here on DeviantART: 
I imagined that Fugeo and his mate Diamond (owned by 
) would sing a duet of a song that represented their deep love for each other, and one that cohered with Fugeo possessing an evil fire dragon spirit inside of him the sheer beauty of his mate, Diamond. So naturally I chose Beauty and the Beast (version sung by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson) from it's titular animated film, which fitted those qualifications perfectly. And here's the link of the music video of that utterly and poignantly magnificent song:
