Through Dragon Eyes

[Location: Ponyville, Library.  Time of Day: Late morning.]

[Within one section of the quiet Library, Twilight Sparkle was currently looking through the massive shelves searching for a book she needed for research.  Suddenly the sounds of rapid knocking came from the front door, prompting Twilight to interrupt her search and focus her attention toward it.]
TWILIGHT SPARKLE: Hmm.  I wonder who that could be.
[As the purple unicorn approached the door, she heard the rapid knocking sound from the door again.  She sighed in annoyance.]
TWILIGHT SPARKLE: I'm coming, I'm coming!
[She then stopped within a foot length from the door and opened it with her magic.  What she saw outside surprised her, for there at the front door was Fluttershy's pet bunny, Angel, his face filled with anxiety and worry.  In his little paws was a rolled up piece of parchment.]
TWILIGHT SPARKLE: Angel?  What are you doing here?
[Angel then extended the parchment out to Twilight, who used her magic to levitate it and then unrolled it.  She then began reading aloud the message written on the paper.]
TWILIGHT SPARKLE: "Help!  My friend, Fluttershy is in serious trouble and needs your help.  Please follow me and I'll bring you to her right away."
[The purple unicorn had a very serious expression of concern on her face when she finished.]

[Twilight Sparkle and Spike were following Angel through Ponyville as he ran at maximum speed for Fluttershy's cottage.]
SPIKE: Do you think something's happened to Fluttershy, Twilight?
TWILIGHT SPARKLE: I don't know, Spike.  But I'll bet we'll find out when we reach her cottage.
[Within minutes, all three reached Fluttershy's cottage.  But after they crossed the bridge, instead of heading toward the front door, Angel went around toward the backyard.  As Twilight and Spike slowly followed him, they heard intense and soft sounds of sobbing and sniffling coming from the backyard.]
SPIKE: (whispering) That sounds like Fluttershy.
TWILIGHT SPARKLE: (whispering) Yes.  I wonder what has been stressing her?
[They then rounded the last corner and into the backyard of Fluttershy's cottage, where they suddenly stopped and gasped at what they saw: there before them in the backyard of the cottage was a 25-foot-long butter-colored, dragoness that had long pink hair on her head and the end of her tail.  In addition, three butterflies were patterned on each side of her hindquarters while both her underbelly and wing membranes were colored pink like her hair (which confirmed that she is indeed Fluttershy).  Fluttershy was prostrate with her face buried in her forearms sobbing dreadfully as her tears formed a small puddle.  She was partially surrounded by many of her animal friends, all of whom had sorrowful expressions on their faces.  Twilight and Spike gazed at this scene for a few minutes before the former looked down at Angel, who's face was filled with sorrow and sympathy.]
TWILIGHT SPARKLE: Angel…is that really Fluttershy?
[The small white rabbit nodded sadly before he then turned around and approached the transformed Fluttershy, with his two shocked companions cautiously following in tow.  Angel stopped next to Fluttershy's enlarged head and whispered something in her ear.  Twilight and Spike were just a few feet behind him when they observed Fluttershy moved her forearms from her face and rose up her head.  When Fluttershy looked at her two friends in brief amazement, Twilight observed that the former's beautiful teal eyes were bloodshot from hours of non-stop crying and streams of her tears down her graceful visage.  As Twilight spoke, Fluttershy's eye pupils enlarged with sorrow.]
TWILIGHT SPARKLE: Fluttershy…what happened to you?  Why have you been turned into—AH!
[The purple unicorn was interrupted as Fluttershy impulsively pulled her into an extremely tight hug as the latter broke down sobbing horribly again.]
FLUTTERSHY: (morose) OH, TWILIGHT!  IT WAS HORRIBLE!  IT WAS SO HORRIBLE!
[She then continued crying while pressing Twilight Sparkle against her chest.]
SPIKE: Um, Fluttershy…I think you're suffocating Twilight like that.
[Fluttershy immediately opened her eyes and gasped with shock.  She released her unicorn friend from her tight embrace before gently placing her back on the ground while speaking.]
FLUTTERSHY: Oh my goodness!  I-I'm so sorry, Twilight.  I didn't really mean to hug you that tightly!  Are you hurt?
TWILIGHT SPARKLE: (breathing loudly) No problem…I'm alright…It's not…your fault…Fluttershy.
SPIKE: Yeah.  You couldn't really help it, being a dragon and all.
[The purple unicorn scornfully glared at the baby dragon.]
SPIKE: What?
[By now, Twilight Sparkle was breathing more steadily.  Both she and Spike then refocused on Fluttershy as she sequentially spoke.]
FLUTTERSHY: (whispering, despairingly) Oh, this is so dreadful.  I-I've never ever…
[Fluttershy gazed sadly into her reflection of the pool of her tears as she spoke, her eyes swelling with new ones.]
FLUTTERSHY: …even dreamed that I'd become the very thing I feared most.
[She then looked at both her fore claws.]
FLUTTERSHY: I'm…_{a monster.}
[The beautiful dragon-transformed Pegasus placed her paws over her eyes as she began sobbing softly again.  Twilight Sparkle and Spike had sympathetic expressions on their faces in witnessing this tragic moment.  The pretty unicorn then turned her gaze toward her assistant.]
TWILIGHT SPARKLE: (whispers) Spike.
SPIKE: (whispers) Yes, Twilight?
TWILIGHT SPARKLE: (whispers) I want you to go find Rainbow Dash and tell her to come here immediately.  Ensure to also tell her that it's an emergency that involves Fluttershy.  I'll stay here to comfort Fluttershy.
SPIKE: (whispers) Gotcha!
[With that, the baby dragon rushed off in search of Rainbow Dash.  Twilight then bent her head and neck down toward Fluttershy's pet bunny, Angel, who likewise looked up into the unicorn's beautiful visage.]
TWILIGHT SPARKLE: (whispers) Angel, do you know where Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Applejack live?
[Angel nodded his head in response.]
TWILIGHT SPARKLE: (whispers) Good.  Now, could you please ask some of the birds to bring them here?  They need to know what's happened to Fluttershy.  Please, if not for me, would you do this for Fluttershy, Angel?
[Angel enthusiastically nodded his head, which made Twilight smile.]
TWILIGHT SPARKLE: Thanks, Angel.
[Angel quickly hugged Twilight's face before he approached a large group of nearby birds, sequentially giving them orders to find Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and their closest relatives.  Twilight turned away from this scene and back toward Fluttershy.  The unicorn then approached to the butter-colored dragoness to comfort her.

[Thirty minutes later, Spike and the birds returned with Rainbow Dash, Scootaloo, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Sweetie Belle, Applejack, Apple Bloom, and Big Macintosh.  All eight ponies initially reacted with shock and disbelief when they witnessed the sight of their Fluttershy transformed into a dragon.  But after a brief explanation from Twilight and seeing Fluttershy in her dolorous state, they all became both sympathetic and morose for their transformed friend.  They immediately approached Fluttershy as they sequentially embraced each other and began crying with her (with Twilight and Spike joining in).  They spent all day embracing and crying with each together, without eating once…]
